What an absolute game changer. I am in love with smells and have been obsessed with candles and incense and potpourri and all the smelly things. Never dabbled in oils though until a family member gifted me their old oil diffuser. I put in a drop of perfume oil that they gifted and let it go and really loved how it smelled. But that diffuser was old and had issues so I said what the heck let me try a newer one. So I got this one and picked up some essential oils from a local store. And WOW! Never going back to incense again that is for sure. And honestly I may not go back to candles either.As for the device itself, it is super easy to use, sturdy and attractive, has a great capacity so it can run for hours, and it fills a room very easily with scent. I also love humidity and this thing does a pretty good job at that as well.As for the benefits, if you are someone who might be thinking about difussing oils, TRY IT! Thanks to the large water capacity that this thing has, I can make scents really faint or really strong by either doing just 1 drop of oil or several. I can change the scent whenever I want, I can experiment with and craft new scents just for me all the time just by trying different combinations of oils. There is no burning or smoke like with incense, no clean up, and no where near as expensive as candles. You also get exactly what you think you are smelling. So many times I would buy incense or a candle, only to light it and have it smell nothing like the first impression. With oils, you get the exact scent that you think you are getting.As an example I bought like every essential oil that this one brand offers. Today it's a beautiful spring day so I decided to make a new recipe with a few drops of rose, a drop of pine, and 2 drops of cedar, and a touch of eucalyptus. It is amaaaaaazing! It feels like my lungs love it too. Obviously burning too many candles or incense will basically suffocate you. But here I can get a nice robust scent, that isn't too overpowering though, and it feels like it's even easier to breathe. So incredibly refreshing!The ONLY downside is that many essential oils are very toxic to cats and dogs. I have a cat so I keep this thing in my office and keep the door closed. Which is such a bummer because I really want one in my living room!Otherwise if you don't have any oil sensitive animals, give it a try!
