This one is a little more complicated than most Amazon product reviews, because you really can weigh the pros and cons and may find that it’s the right thing for you despite some glaring flaws. Let’s start with the good:It’s extremely aesthetically pleasing - looks like a Peleton without the screen at a literal fraction of the price. The flywheel is smooth and feels sturdy. Lots of adjustability around positioning. Now, the bad:The seat is borderline torture - super skinny and rock hard. Men, this could legitimately impact your ability to have children! They clearly recognize the problem and include a tie on gel seat cover to try to soften things, but it’s ugly and does not stay in place well, so I tossed both and bought a better seat for 25 bucks on Amazon. It has a normal universal seat mount so you’ve got lots of options to fix this. However, there are some problems you can’t fix - this is not a bike for tall people, at 6’2” I’m at the “stop” line on the seat and wish I was an inch higher. In addition, it gets a bit wobbly at this height. The other downside is that the handlebars only have 3 clicks of adjustment compared to 8 on the seat, so as a result I’m sitting several feet higher than the handlebars and can barely reach the water bottle holder without getting off.The installation manual is downright misleading at times - I’m very handy and got it together without any trouble except for the wiring part that others have mentioned (manual says to connect a dongle in the handlebar tube, but all the wiring is already stuffed into the bottom of the frame and unreachable even with tools. Bluetooth does not function on mine. App is terrible and unhelpful. So what’s the takeaway? If you want a fully manual spin bike (I’m fine with that, I use phone/iPad the whole time I’m on it so I don’t need a screen) that looks fantastic in your room and don’t want to pay more than $350, if you’re willing to replace the seat and are under 6’ tall then this may be the best option on the market. If any of those don’t apply, you probably want to look elsewhere. I tossed the packaging so I’m stuck with mine and will make it work, but I wouldn’t buy it again.8-09-20. Week 1: So far so good. Great value for the money compared to the popular brands. It looks great, feels sturdy and I can almost say it’s heavy duty. Please read all the details listed on the amazon description. I did not have the specifications for a gym spin bike so I couldn’t compare to a professional model. Which leads me to the CONS:1. The resistance knob does not tell you what level of resistance you are on so you have to gauge it by feel. It also doesn’t display the resistance level on the LCD panel.2. I am 5-09” in height. I could’ve used two more levels higher on the handle bars, but for the price I’m making it work. They are too low though.3. I noticed a burning rubbery smell when I raise the resistance (to an estimated level 20 on a gym Spin Bike) .... which is suspect if it is supposed to have a magnetic resistance. That smell would only happen if it had an actual rubber brake (resistance pad) like on the cheaper models. No way to really tell unless I take it apart to expose the true interior components. For now, I’ll keep riding to see if it needs to be broken in. I will update in a couple of weeks.I bought this bike last year, but literally this is my 7th time using this bike and the left pedal is jerking. The handles are too low can't adjust it higher.Product shipped very quickly. Took around 45 mins to assemble. It would’ve gone quicker but part of the wiring for the display monitor was stuck way down inside the base of the bike. I had to turn the whole base upside down and shake/dig into a small opening with a tool to get it out. I’ve used it once. The seat is not the most comfortable but I’m new to cycling so I know my body will adjust and I bought a seat cover that helps some. The handlebars are pretty low even at the highest setting. But this was expected as it was mentioned many time in previous reviews. Not a deal breaker for me. As you see in the pic, a small non essential part was broken. There are also some small scratches on the wheel. Nothing that is worth the phone call and hold times for me. Extremely quiet. Aesthetically pleasing. Gets the job done. I plan to update my review as necessary as I use it more.
