I initially got this desk to write a cookbook a publisher approached me about. It was intended to be an upgrade in terms of comfort when compared to my previous desk as it has an octagonal shape rather than a simple L. This seems to be very difficult to find, so my options were limited. Being a streamer, I'm at my desk all the time, so I need to make sure whatever I purchase is better than what I have. On my previous setup, my keyboard was hanging off the table, and the top of it was glass, which made me uncomfortable as it could possibly shatter. So, after reading the reviews here, I decided to make a purchase and hope for the best. Some reviews mention holes not lining up and the desk being difficult to put together. Perhaps they received a poor desk? Personally, I found the install to be a complete breeze. The metal frame was day and night more robust than my current desk (same price point), and the wooden tops have a substantial weight to them. All in all, an amazing purchase. If you do end up purchasing, one tip from me to make your job easier is to ensure the bars line up flat (where the wood attaches) as you tighten things down. Then, when you install the wooden tops, get all the screws in first (only a few turns) then begin to tighten things down. This will make lining things up very easy.Sturdy metal frame. Great for a small space. You can build this without a drill but it will take you much less time if you use one to drill in all the screws. I was impressed that every hole (of which there are many...) lined up almost perfectly. Also comes with a free screw driver as opposed to another allen wrench! The desk looks nice and serves its purpose, but we had a hard time putting it together due to poorly cut threads and soft metal on the screws. At least three of the holes on the end of the bars had threads that were not cut completely, so screws would get stuck with only a couple threads engaged. The phillips head drive features on the screws were also stripping out even when being inserted into the holes with the plastic insert and using the provided screw driver. Still got it together, but there was much frustration and it is probably a little more rickety than it should be because we simply couldn't advance many of the fasteners any more. This desk is very beautiful I love the color and the material feels nice made it fits perfectly, in my small corner in my bedroom. It were very easy to assemble I did it myself in about 45-1 hour. Dont dont do like me pay attention to shelf placement it has to be correct. I needed to add an extra desk space upstairs so I don't always have to go downstairs ? lol and it's perfect.I bought this desk for my son for gaming and it is a nice sturdy desk. This table is very suitable for our home.It is assembled on the first day of delivery. It is easy to assemble. There are three storage shelves under the table, Which can be installed on the left or right at will, Because the child’s room is not very large, So this computer desk saves a lot of space, the storage shelf can put a lot of things, the quality of the desk is also I like, It’s very strong .It’s great that my kids can learn here!Overall I still like the design and the quality of the components individually seems to be pretty decent. The problem is when you get to the last step of wedding the wood pieces with the metal frame they just don't fit together. And this isn't my first rodeo, I left all of the screws quite loose through the process hoping I could jostle things into harmony, but in the end two sets of holes would just not line up sufficiently to allow being secured with screws. My advice after the fact is when you get to the last two steps *don't* attach the diagonal metal frame pieces between the two sides of the desk. Put the wood panels on first, then screw the diagonal frame pieces to the central wood panel, and *lastly* screw the diagonal pieces into the rest of the frame. It will save a fair amount of frustration.Use this for my home office. I have 4 monitors that fit perfectly. Couldn't be happier w my purchase.
